Intro
This project was a collaborative effort with a naval engineer Alberto Merino, combining expertise in aesthetics and functionality to create a sustainable, high-performance yacht. While the naval engineer focused on the hydrodynamic hull, ensuring optimal efficiency and stability, the upper structure was designed to reflect organic inspiration and aerodynamic refinement.

Process
Drawing from nature, the yacht’s form takes cues from leaf structures, ocean waves, and wind-shaped patterns, seamlessly blending biomorphism, aerodynamics, luxury, and performance. The 20-meter vessel embodies both sustainability and speed, incorporating fluid, dynamic lines that not only enhance its efficiency but also emphasize its environmentally conscious approach.

Aim
To validate the design, the yacht’s hull was 3D printed for testing in the hydrodynamic canal at the Polytechnic University of Madrid, marking an innovative step toward more cost-effective and eco-friendly prototyping in the naval industry. This integration of digital modeling, advanced fabrication, and real-world testing ensures a balance between form and function, pushing the boundaries of modern yacht design.
