HAIER
Graphic Design, Prize winner
2021

Intro
This project was developed for Haier, a global leader in climate control solutions, as part of the Art Academy Haier 2021 competition. The design, selected as a winner and showcased at the IFEMA Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Fair, reimagines the aesthetics of air conditioning units by merging form with function.

Process
Inspired by the fluidity of air, wind currents, and wave dynamics, "Perla" embodies the Coandă effect, a key feature of Haier’s latest split system, which optimizes airflow for better efficiency and comfort. The design not only enhances the visual appeal of the unit but also reflects its core attributes: cleanliness, purity, and seamless integration into modern spaces. A soft, neutral pastel color palette was chosen to complement a variety of interior environments, reinforcing the balance between technology and elegant design.

Result
The final prototype was produced using an advanced dual-cut vinyl technique, a finishing process commonly employed in the automotive industry. This method ensured a refined, high-quality surface that enhances the overall perception of the product while maintaining durability and practicality.
The "Perla" project represents a holistic approach to product design, where aesthetics, innovation, and material application come together to redefine the perception of everyday appliances.
