Intro
Jela was conceived as a group project developed within a short timeframe, aiming to embody the essence of Pilma's design philosophy, where every piece seamlessly fits together. Inspired by this concept, the design ensures that each component aligns harmoniously, both structurally and aesthetically, while also adapting effortlessly to diverse environments.
The Design
The distinctive leg design, resembling an isosceles trapezoid, not only enhances the chair’s visual appeal from any angle but also contributes to ergonomic comfort, offering support for both seating and arm placement. Jela’s generous proportions further emphasize relaxation and ease, making it an inviting addition to any space.
Result
With a focus on timelessness, wood was chosen as the primary material, providing a fresh, noble, and natural aesthetic. The design also allows for material combinations, such as leather upholstery, to achieve a more refined and comfortable finish.
Jela represents a balance between functionality, craftsmanship, and elegance, showcasing how thoughtful design can seamlessly blend into any setting while maintaining a strong identity.
